Movie Reviews

I'm going to try to make this as concise as possible so that you know which movies rock and which ones basically should never have been put out there into cinematic history.

Muppets Most Wanted: A toe-tapping good time (even if you didn't see the first one!) You can trust me on that since I didn't see the first one. The film is full of surprises including celebrities that just keep popping up from out of no where.

Mr. Peabody and Sherman: All of the jokes are on a higher-level. This film is one that anyone of any age can enjoy (FINALLY!)

Rio 2: This movie is good if you don't like to think or are under the age of 10 (if you fall into either category you'll appreciate this film.) If not, you should consider going to see either of the other two films above.

Captain America 2: At one point in the film my eyes inadvertently closed. When they re-opened, Captain America was still fighting off the same group of 40+ armed men and he had no weapons. Let me repeat: he had NO WEAPONS. This film is basically one of the worst films of the year. If you don't believe me ask anyone who is walking out of the film what the basic premise is about. Trust me when I tell you that they will be unable to tell you the premise because....well...the premise is so sloppily thrown together that at certain points in the movie I'll not even sure if the actors could remember the premise...or their lines for that matter.

The Grand Budapest Hotel: There is one part in the film where the narrator talks about how the main character was basically living during a time period that couldn't understand him. I almost laughed out loud because the same can be said about the film's director, Wes Anderson.

Draft Day: This movie does not belong in theaters. I truly have no idea what it's doing there. Perhaps it has something to do with Kevin Costner.

The Other Woman: At least the soundtrack is going to be enjoyable!

Heaven is for Real: I preferred the book but I have to admit that the preview for this film gave me goosebumps and was the reason that I decided that I had to read the book.

Noah: A truly, great film (FINALLY!)
