Pixar: Preview

The Red Balloon has an inside look behind Pixar, the exhibit at the Museum of Science.

When you first enter the exhibit, viewers are treated to a short film that invites you to see what those who work at Pixar do on a daily basis.

Once the film is over, upon entering the exhibit the very first thing you'll see is:

You'll be greeted by a star from Toy Story.

Each part of the exhibit focuses on one of Pixar's films. There's Wall-E:


Monsters University:


Toy Story:


Inside Out:
The exhibit also features an array of artifacts from the modeling to the rigging to the surface area adjustments that needed to be made for the film Cars. There are many hands-on components as well, which allow visiters to see what it is like to be a designer for a day. The exhibit takes you behind the films into the making of the movies and talks about how each film had a unique challenge which Pixar had to creatively overcome.
