Tales from Bootcamp and Back!

So I recently attended a bootcamp. Only I had joined a run club and had assumed that we would be running. But apparently we were not running. We were completing a bootcamp. So you see where this is going.

Never before have I completed 3 sets of anything well unless you count weight lifting....but that's different.  I'm used to well...running or using weights and/or some piece of exercise equiptment at the gym. This was a totally different exercise experience which everyone agreed. Except well...it was unexpected. Now I officially know what a burpee is. Not that I ever really needed to know that information. In fact, I could have gone through the rest of my life without knowing.

I've been attempting to rest since I become seriously ill this past weekend. Then, a huge tornado hit my town. Damage has been quite severe and I was grateful that I was indoors at the time. If I had been feeling better I may have been outside. Funny the way that things happen in life. It makes you really stop and think. The tornado made me think back in time to two years ago when we had another serious storm. That storm caused a tree to fall directly in front of my door. That was literally one minute after I had stepped inside my front door and closed it. From the window next to the door I watched the tree and heard the "thwack" as it hit the concrete. I was speechless. Even now I can't say anything but that I am grateful indeed. Taking some time to think, ponder, and hopefully be on the road to recovery from this illness. Being sick is never fun. Healthy Trails ~

Storm Nemo

If the storm had been more like the clown fish...I may have liked it better

Storm's a brewin'

Makes me wish I had some ice cream...
Hope that the power doesn't go out.
Just finished reading Gone Girl on this "snow day" and I have to say that I was disappointed...that book did not go the way I thought it would. When you have expectations it seems like there's a lot of room for a pretty big letdown which was the case with that book...time for lunch...maybe I'll finish another book by tomorrow...later
